Please ensure your passport is valid for at least six months, with at least two (2) clear visa pages adjacent to each other.

Who are we?

The Royal Commission for Riyadh (previously called the Riyadh development authority) was established in 1974 by royal decree. We are responsible for the urban, economic, social and cultural development of Riyadh City and handle issues related to environment management, protection, and providing the city with the necessary public services and utilities.

What is Riyadh's Sustainable Future Event?

The ‘Riyadh: The Sustainable City’ Symposium is a high-level dialog responding to the question “How do you transform a rapidly growing city in the desert into a sustainable, responsible, inspiring place to live?” A wide range of topics will be covered including climate change; sustainable urban development; conservation of the natural environment; critical resource management; energy conservation, production and management; legal frameworks and initiatives to support positive change; and transformative social activation.

This event will feature local and international subject matter experts, by invitation only.

What is the RSF event program?

Will there be transportation to and from the hotel?

On arrival and departure at King Khalid International Airport, transfers will be provided to and from your hotel. On the event days, shuttle buses will be provided to and from the hotel and the event venue. Additional transfers will be provided to evening cultural events.

What’s the dress code?

The dress code is business professional. Women from outside the Kingdom may choose to wear the abaya if they so wish.

What’s the best way to get around the city?

We’re launching our Public Transit System very soon. But for now, we use cars and taxis. All transit to and from the airport, hotel, and venue will be provided.

Will I have to wear an Abaya?

Ladies are no longer required to wear an Abaya in Riyadh; however, you are expected to dress in accordance with Saudi Arabia’s public decorum charter. “Both men and women are asked to dress modestly in public, avoiding tight-fitting clothing or clothing with disrespectful language or images. Shoulders and knees should be covered in public.”
